The Oregon Red-spotted Garter Snake, Thamnophis sirtalis concinnus.

This beautiful subspecies from Oregon, US is usually black with red spots, a red head and a yellow or almost white dorsal stripe.

There are some populations known where some specimens lack the red and yellow coloration resulting in a black and blue gartersnakes.

Pictures taken today of an adult female (106 cm) and 2 young males of 50 cm long, born last year (2019).
