April 28th 2015 the third litter of the year was a fact.

This one was extra special for me.

One of my female Thamnophis scalaris had just given birth to 7 extremely beautifull and healthy babies.
I only had babies of Thamnophis scalaris once a few years ago but I did not manage to raise them.

Baby scalaris are quite small when born: only 140 mm – 163 mm total length.

On the pictures you see one of the babies at the age of 1 week.
